Bound by Print compiles original graphic works of 15 artists in a custom, fully handmade book. Each copy is unique — printed, assembled, and bound by hand in the SPLINTER tradition.
More Info"Book #" is where SPLINTER originated and has since remained our main focus. Every year, we bring printmakers together to continue our "Book #" series. Each edition emerges from a new perspective, creating unique artist publications. "Book 0: Hello City" marked the beginning in 2021.
View Books'Printed Image' is a yearly exhibition focusing on artists from all disciplines who are pushing the boundaries of the printed image. We bring them together with more conventional forms of printmaking to create dialogue across media and generations.
View ArchiveA collaborative project with printmaking museum De Reede where we exhibit different artists on our unique SPLINTER wall. We focus on living contemporary artists working on paper with a background in printmaking — exhibited alongside works by Munch, Goya, and Rops.
Since August 2024, SPLINTER has been building a dedicated space for printmakers based in and around Antwerp to continue their practice after graduating from art academy. The studio is located at the Blikfabriek art hub in Hoboken, Antwerp. Studio spaces available for rent — 24/7 access, water, electricity and WiFi included, access to printing studio.
